Stangate House is a 1940s heritage bungalow set within four acres of private garden in the Adelaide Hills village of Aldgate. Your stay is intimate and self-contained; a master bedroom with private ensuite, your own kitchen and dining space, and the full run of the garden beyond your door.

This is a house that feels lived-in in the best sense. The rooms hold the quiet warmth of mid-century design; generous proportions, deep windows, soft natural light; and have been gently curated for stays that are slow and considered.

The master bedroom is the heart of the stay. A king-size bed dressed in beautiful linens, a private ensuite, and a deep stillness you don't often find. In the morning, the light arrives unhurried; in the evening, it fades into birdsong.

Beyond the bedroom are a guest kitchen, dining and living area all a step away from the lawns and trees. The kitchen is fully equipped for breakfasts, light meals, and unhurried evenings in.

Stangate House is a working heritage property, cared for by a dedicated team of volunteers. The garden may be shared briefly at times during your stay. These dates are always shared with guests well before arrival, and on every other day, the garden is yours alone.
